We did not set any rules. Rules are kind of against the way we see our relationship. Neither of us want to live in a prison and neither of us believe in telling each other what to do. We relied on the fact that we know each other well enough to know when the line is crossed or when to see a sign from one another if one is given. Know your partner enough to trust them to do whatever they want. If you have to give each other rules of engagement, you obviously don’t have a strong respect for each other.

I don’t agree with this idea that everyone should be this way. However I admire the connection a couple might have to achieve this.
