It should be noted that being a Buddhist does not mean you believe in a God.
Christianity and Buddhism share this ultra individualism and belief in the world needing to be saved. BTW “Atheist” you have the same values and culture, you are not different. It takes more than rewriting a kids story to change your belief system. Most people who call themselves “atheist” believe in all the same important (awful) things. The storybook word of “God” is not the important value to question. You are still a supporter of war and the empire. (even as a “rebel”)
