These Are My Labia
I’m Emma. This is my LargeLabiaProject. And these are my labia. They may even look a bit like yours. But like fingerprints they are uniquely mine.
See my inner lips? They aren’t pale pink. They’re dark pinkish/purple fading to brown on the edges. I am naturally olive complexioned, and my labia minora are darker than my surrounding skin.
They aren’t even in length. My left lip is much longer than my right, continuing down to next to my vagina, and protrudes quite a bit from in between my labia majora. It also has an additional flap of skin joining into my clit hood. My right labium is smaller, shorter and thinner. It thins out and kind of disappears as it gets closer to may vagina. They are different textures too. The smaller right hand lip is much smoother than the left. The left is very wrinkly, bumpy and textured. They aren’t the sort of lips you’d see in Playboy. In fact you’re unlikely to see much of any labia in Playboy at all! They aren’t what mainstream society would say are picture perfect labia. I do not have a “pornstar pussy”. Nobody would go to a cosmetic surgeon and request mine as their ideal “designer vagina”. But they are mine. And I think they are amazing. They feel fantastic. I have never had any complaints about them. And I love them. My vulva and I have a very healthy and loving relationship.
Like so many brave women who contribute here I am also prepared to bare all, make myself vulnerable, and open up my most intimate parts, to show that labia are beautiful no matter their size, shape, colour, length, texture, symmetry (or lack thereof). Lots of other women have taken the big and very brave step of photographing their vulva and submitting them here. Why do it? Well there are a couple of really good reasons.
First, if you have doubts or insecurities about how your labia minora look, then I know for a fact that doing this is a cathartic experience. Many women who have participated here have told me how empowering this is, and that it is very much a growth experience. By showing all, you may be able to overcome some of your fears, in a welcoming, respectful, safe and encouraging environment.
And second, by adding your labia to the growing body of submitted photos on this site, you’ll be able to join with me and the other contributors and let everyone else out there with fears, insecurities and even hatred towards their labia, know that they are not alone, that they are normal, that they are beautiful, and that they have nothing to be worried about. I don’t want to sound conceited, but this little site has changed people’s lives for the better.
If you are brave, if you are unsure of yourself, if you feel the need for validation and to have someone tell you that yes, you are normal, then maybe you’d like to be a part of this pussy pride project too. You can anonymously submit your photos and thoughts about your labia, but at times the upload facility here is a bit temperamental. It’s best if you email them to me at largelabiaproject@gmail.com. I’ll remove any EXIF or geotagging data from your photos and post them completely on anonymously your behalf, with whatever message you’d like. 100% discrete and 100% anonymous.
Please though, only send photos of your own labia. Webfinds are not allowed. Only submissions sent by women will be accepted. Men if you are proud of your wives’ or girlfriends’ labia, please ask them to contribute their photos and stories themselves, as I don’t accept any photo submissions from men. And girls if you don’t have large labia, but have other vulva insecurities, or would like to contribute in solidarity with your large lipped sisters, please feel free.
Please participate. Every voice, every picture, every story counts.
